Two Weeks, Four Cities, One Epic Video Journey

The Trip:

Over the last two weeks, I packed my gear, jumped on planes, and hit the road hard. Starting in State College, I made my way to Chicago, then on to Salt Lake City. But the adventure didn’t stop there — from Salt Lake City, I flew to Denver and then up to Williston, North Dakota, chasing stories and capturing moments for two very different but equally meaningful projects.

First Stop: Salt Lake City — Avail Technologies

In Utah, I was on location with Avail Technologies, capturing event footage and client satisfaction interviews. These shoots are always a mix of structured and spontaneous — planned talking points mixed with real, unrehearsed moments that bring the story to life. The goal? Show the human side behind the tech, the folks who make the magic happen, and capture that genuine connection clients have with Avail’s products and services.

Next Up: Williston, North Dakota — Spring Lake Nature Center

After wrapping in Utah, I made my way to Williston for something totally different but just as rewarding. The Spring Lake Nature Center was hosting its first annual event, and I was there to capture the excitement. Bulldog produced recap videos, promotional content, and interviews with community leaders, including the mayor.

This was a charity-driven project, which always adds a layer of heart and meaning. Documenting the event meant showing the energy, passion, and community spirit that fuels the Nature Center’s mission. The interviews with local leaders gave depth to the story, showing how this small but mighty organization makes a big impact in the area.

What I Learned on the Road

Traveling from State College to Chicago, Salt Lake City, Denver, Williston and back again in just two weeks means tight schedules and quick pivots. But it also means exposure to incredible stories and people who care deeply about what they do.

Whether it’s tech innovation or environmental conservation, capturing authentic stories is what makes all the jet lag and late nights worth it.

Big thanks to both Avail Technologies and Spring Lake Nature Center for trusting me to tell their stories.
